Choosing a size — supplements are fed by the scoop over months, not weeks, so the larger tubs are usually the better buy for a horse in ongoing work. The 1kg is the sensible size for trialling a product on one horse or for a short block of work; buy the size you will use inside the shelf life printed on the tub rather than the cheapest per kilo.
Antioxidant supplements are fed alongside a balanced diet, not instead of one. If a horse is losing condition, tying up, or performing below expectation, the ration and the workload are the first things to look at.
