Halti is made by Company of Animals in the UK, and is best known for one thing: the headcollar that made no-pull walking a normal idea rather than a specialist one. The range now covers headcollars, harnesses, collars and leads.
Which Halti do I need?
If your dog pulls hard, start at the head. The Halti Headcollar steers from the nose and gives you the most leverage of anything here; the Optifit Headcollar is the same idea with more adjustment for an awkwardly shaped face. If your dog will not accept anything over the muzzle, the Front Control Harness and the No Pull Harness work from the chest instead.
If your dog walks reasonably well and you just want a comfortable, well-fitting harness, the Walking Harness has an open shoulder and a traffic handle, and the Anatomy Harness goes further with five adjustment points and three lead attachments for dogs that are hard to fit.
The Anatomy range
Anatomy is the newer, better-padded line, built around how a dog actually moves and finished in green, grey, magenta and teal so the pieces match. It covers the harness, a wide collar that spreads pressure across the neck rather than the windpipe, a bungee multi lead, and a step-in puppy harness.
Measure before you order
Halti sizes are generous and they overlap on purpose, which is helpful but also means guessing goes wrong. Every harness and collar page here carries the brand's own measurement chart in centimetres, with breed examples where Halti publish them. Measure the base of the neck and the widest part of the rib cage with a tape, and if your dog lands between two sizes, size up.
Leads
The Halti Lead is a plain 1.2m everyday lead. The Double Ended Lead and Training Lead clip at both ends, which is what you want alongside a headcollar. The Active Lead adds a bungee and a waist belt for running.
