Nylabone
Nylabone splits its range by how hard a dog actually chews, and picking the wrong tier is the usual reason a chew disappoints. Power Chew is the hardest nylon, meant for dogs that destroy things. Moderate Chew — Double Action and Flexi Chew — is softer and gives under the tooth. Puppy Teething is softer again, for milk teeth. Healthy Edibles sit outside all of that: they are consumable chews, meant to be eaten rather than kept.
Two practical points. Size up rather than down — Nylabone sizes by dog weight, and a chew that is too small is a choking risk, not merely a short-lived one. And nylon chews are designed to raise tiny bristle-like fragments as they wear, which is what abrades plaque off the tooth; that is normal, but the chew should be retired once the knuckle ends are worn down.
The Advanced Oral Care line is separate from the chews: toothpaste, dental kits and a water additive, including a kit made for cats. Power Play is the fetch range rather than the chew range.
