Reptile Habitat Accessories

Everything that goes inside a terrarium once the glass is up. These reptile habitat accessories run from hides, artificial plants and rock backgrounds through to water dishes, misting systems, foggers, circulation pumps and the replacement doors, latches and screen tops that keep an ageing enclosure usable. There are 89 items, almost all Exo Terra, with a few URS pieces including the Old Tree Hide, Croc Skull, Pontoon Platform and a glass sliding door lock.
Humidity: mist, fog or a bigger water dish
Which one you need depends on the species and on how often you are home. A large water dish plus a daily hand mist is enough for most desert animals. Species that need consistently high humidity are far easier with a Monsoon misting system, which runs on a timer and can be extended with additional nozzles, output tubing and a Y-connector to cover more than one enclosure. A Mist Fogger or the Ultrasonic Humidifying Fog Generator does a different job again: it lays cool fog across the floor rather than wetting the foliage, which suits amphibians and snakes in shed. All three are pumps and diaphragms at heart, so they need consumables eventually — replacement nozzles, filters and fogger diaphragms are listed here alongside the units.
Hides, decor and the spare parts half of the range
A hide is not decoration. A reptile with nowhere to disappear stays stressed, so most keepers run one at the warm end and one at the cool end. Exo Terra covers plain Reptile Caves and Hiding Caves through to the skull, tortoise skeleton and dinosaur egg hides, plus rock outcrops and terrarium backgrounds that also conceal cabling. The artificial plants — Boston fern, croton, ruscus, abutilon, jungle vine, bendable moss vine and several cacti — give cover and climbing routes without any lighting requirement. The other half of this collection is purely practical: replacement glass doors listed by terrarium model number, screen tops and covers, door latches, locks and cabinet fittings, terrarium drains, and impellers and foam for the Repti Clear, Repti Flo and Turtle FX200 filters. If a part has broken rather than the whole enclosure, check here before replacing the terrarium.
