Anitone is an all-natural liquid mineral and trace element tonic, first developed by a Western Australian veterinarian in 2002 and now fed across horses, cattle, sheep, poultry and pets. It is a broad-spectrum top-up for stock grazing depleted or unimproved country rather than a targeted treatment, so if you already balance a hard feed with a full vitamin and mineral premix you may be doubling up.
Six sizes: 250ml, 500ml, 1L, 5L, 10L and 20L. A horse over 300kg on the standard 60ml daily rate works through a 1L bottle in about sixteen days, so the 5L and larger drums make more sense for more than one animal.
Benefits
- Over 60 minerals and trace elements — a broad base rather than a single-nutrient top-up.
- Water soluble — mixes into feed or drinking water, which suits shy feeders and mobs alike.
- All species — the same bottle covers horses, cattle, sheep, poultry, dogs and cats.
Feeding Guide
Horses over 300kg: 60ml daily. Horses and ponies under 300kg: 30ml daily. The rate may be doubled during stress or recovery. Anitone also lists 80ml the night before competition as a pre-performance dose with nil withholding period.
Check the dose rate on the label before feeding, and speak to your vet if your horse is already on a prescribed mineral regime.
