Worth being honest about garden feeding: seed feeders attract introduced species as readily as natives, and a permanently stocked feeder can make birds dependent and concentrate disease. Feed intermittently rather than constantly, clean the bowl between fills, and site it where cats cannot use it as an ambush point.
