Two training tools in one 7.5cm body: a clicker for marking behaviour close up, and a single-tone whistle for recall at distance. It suits a handler who is already running both and is tired of juggling them on separate lanyards. Worth knowing before you buy — neither half works on its own. The click has to be charged with food first, and the whistle has to be conditioned to a recall your dog already knows on lead. Bought as a shortcut past that groundwork, it will not do anything.
The whistle produces one clear tone that carries well in open ground, which is exactly what you want when several people in a household are walking the same dog. Supplied on a 40cm adjustable reflective lanyard that can be worn round the neck or the wrist. See the rest of the Coachi training range, including the Multi-Clicker and the Target Stick.
Features
- Clicker and whistle combined — one unit on one lanyard, so nothing gets left at home
- Single-tone whistle — a standardised recall cue the whole family can use identically
- Comfortable click — easy to press repeatedly through a training session
- Adjustable reflective lanyard — 40cm, secures at neck or wrist length
- Dimensions — whistle body 7.5cm, lanyard 40cm
How to Use
- Charge the clicker: click, treat, repeat, until the sound alone brings your dog's attention to you.
- Condition the whistle separately at home. Blow the pattern you have chosen, then reward heavily, before you ever use it on a walk.
- Keep the whistle pattern identical between handlers — the same number of pips, the same length, every time.
- Practise on a long line in open ground before trusting the recall off lead.
