The Multi II is the multi-zone Monsoon: an 8-litre reservoir, two nozzles in the box and capacity for six, so one unit can mist a rack of terrariums or blanket a single large enclosure from several points. Buy it if you keep more than one humid-species enclosure, or if you go away for days at a time — a full tank runs for several days. For one modest tank it is more machine than the job needs; the Solo II does that work with a smaller footprint and a lower price.
Every additional nozzle reduces the pressure available to the others, so plan the layout before you expand. Spare nozzles, the Y-connector, the nozzle extension kit and the water filter are listed separately, alongside the single-zone Monsoon Solo II.
Features
- Up to six nozzles — enough to cover a shelf of enclosures from one pump, or to mist a tall planted terrarium from top and bottom.
- 8-litre reservoir — several days of unattended operation, which is what makes it workable over a holiday.
- Higher pressure — 4.5 BAR against the Solo II's 2.5 BAR, which is what lets it drive six nozzles at once.
- Programmable cycles — multiple misting events per 24 hours, each 2 seconds to 2 minutes.
- Three tubing runs supplied — two 1.5m lengths and one 1.8m length of pressure-resistant polyether.
- Distilled water recommended — Exo Terra recommends distilled water to keep mineral deposits out of the nozzles.
