The Nano is a separate product line from the Solo II and Multi II, not a smaller version of them. It has no tank of its own — you supply the reservoir, anything from a jar to a bucket — and it runs from USB rather than mains power. Two brass nozzles come in the box, expandable to four. It suits one small enclosure, a desktop bioactive setup or a propagation box. The trade-off for its size is that it will run dry if you forget to top the container up, so it wants more attention than a Solo II with its own sealed reservoir.
Sprays run from 1 second to 9 minutes, on intervals from once a day to once every 30 days — a wider spread than the mains-powered Monsoons offer. Spare brass nozzles, the Y-connector and the water filter are all listed by Exo Terra as Nano accessories. If you would rather have a built-in tank, the Monsoon Solo II is the equivalent unit.
Features
- USB powered — supplied with a USB-A to USB-C cable and adapter, so it can run from a power bank or a spare USB port.
- Bring your own reservoir — draws from any external container, which means the run time is limited by the container rather than a fixed tank.
- Two brass nozzles — multi-directional and bendable, expandable to four.
- Wide interval range — from several sprays a day down to once a month, which suits arid species that only need an occasional soak.
- Compact — 9 x 9 x 5cm, small enough to sit behind a desktop terrarium.
- Distilled water recommended — Exo Terra recommends distilled water to keep the brass nozzles clear.
