The highest grade in Exo Terra's T5 Very High Output UVB range: 14% UVB, matched to Ferguson Zones 3 and 4 — desert and savannah species that bask in open, midday sun. Bearded dragons and uromastyx are the obvious cases. This is a lot of UVB, and it is the wrong bulb for a shade dweller: a crested gecko or a nocturnal species should be on the UVB100 at 3%, and a partial-sun basker on the UVB200 at 7%. Getting the tier right matters more than the wattage. It supplies no heat.
Four sizes: 8W at 30cm, 24W at 60cm, 39W at 90cm and 54W at 120cm. The tube length has to match the fixture, so measure before ordering. Mount it in the T5 High Performance UVB fixture — its polished reflector is what makes the T5 format worth the money — and mind the distance to the basking site, because a 14% bulb close to the animal can be too much of a good thing. Mounting clips and an interconnection cable are available for the fixture. Full range in our Exo Terra collection.
