Fluval Bio-Foam is the second-stage foam in a Fluval canister: a large-pore block that catches the smaller particles the first foam lets through while giving nitrifying bacteria somewhere to live. It is a consumable, not a permanent fitting — Fluval asks you to rinse it every 3 months and replace it every 6, and a block that is being rinsed clean every fortnight is a sign the coarse foam ahead of it needs attention instead.
Choose the cut for your filter — 106/107/206/207 or 306/307/406/407 — and pair it with the coarser Fluval Foam Pad in the first basket.
