Bio-Foam MAX is Fluval's rippled foam block, a 2-in-1 mechanical and biological media whose folded surface gives up to 30% more area for catching waste and housing nitrifying bacteria than a flat pad. It is the foam to choose if your baskets clog quickly. It is still only foam, though — it will not touch ammonia, phosphate or discolouration, and Fluval asks you to replace it every 6 months.
Pick the block cut for your filter: 106/107, 206/207/306/307 or 406/407, all sized to sit gap-free in the basket of an 07 Series canister filter.
