Dicalcium phosphate supplies calcium and phosphorus together, which is what separates it from plain limestone. It is the usual choice when a ration is short of phosphorus as well as calcium - typically pasture-only rations on phosphorus-deficient country, and home-mixed livestock and poultry feeds.
Available in 1kg and 5kg.
Because it moves both minerals at once, DCP is not interchangeable with calcium carbonate. If the problem is a grain-heavy ration that is already high in phosphorus, adding DCP makes the ratio worse, not better - use straight calcium carbonate for that. Work out which mineral is actually short before you pick one.
Where it is used
