Amorax is natural zeolite. It binds ammonium quickly and so heads off the formation of ammonia — useful in a tank that is still cycling, one that is carrying more fish than it should, or one recovering after a course of medication knocked the bacteria back.
Do not leave it in indefinitely. Zeolite competes with your biological filter for the same ammonium, so running it permanently can hold back the bacteria colony you actually want doing that job. Fit it to get through a problem, then take it out and let the filter mature.
Where it goes
Top of the lower filter insert in a Bioflow M, L or XL. In a Bioflow Super it goes in the upper basket in place of the Nitrax sponge.

- Medium — Bioflow M: Rio 125 / 180 / 240 LED, Lido 120 / 200 LED, Trigon 190 LED, Vision 180 LED, and the Primo 110 LED 2.0
- Large — Bioflow L: Rio 350 LED, Vision 260 LED
- XLarge — Bioflow XL: Rio 450 LED, Vision 450 LED, Trigon 350 LED
Replacement
Approximately every three months. Juwel lists it as suitable for fresh and salt water.
