PrimoLux is a complete replacement hood for a Primo aquarium with the LED light already fitted — not an empty cover. It is what you buy when the original hood is cracked, the light in it has failed, or you are rebuilding an older Primo or Rekord tank.
It is a cover light, not a plant light. Juwel fits a single NovoLux bar of around 8 to 10 W in these hoods, which suits fish, low-light plants and a tidy-looking tank. The hood accepts up to three NovoLux bars in total, so if you want serious plant growth, budget for the extra bars — or look at a HeliaLux bar on an open tank instead.
Choosing a size
- 60/70 — Primo 60, Primo 70, and the older Rekord 60/70/600/700
- 80/110 — Primo 110, and the older Rekord 80/800
Ordering the 60/70 for a Primo 110 is the usual mistake — the 110 takes the larger hood.
The rest of the range is in our Juwel collection.
