EquiShure is a time-released hindgut buffer. The sodium bicarbonate is encapsulated so it survives the stomach and small intestine and is released in the hindgut, where fermentation of grain starch or rapidly growing pasture can drive pH down. It targets the hindgut specifically — for the stomach itself, an antacid such as Neigh-Lox is the right product.
Available in 1.25kg (20 days), 3.6kg (60 days), 7.2kg (120 days) and an 18kg pail.
How It Works
- Encapsulated sodium bicarbonate — patented coating carries the buffer past the foregut.
- Targets hindgut pH — helps maintain a stable environment for fibre-fermenting microbes.
- Fed daily — for horses on high grain intakes, lush pasture or a sudden feed change.
Feeding Guide
30–150g daily (1–5 scoops) depending on bodyweight, grain intake and forage source. Divide the dose equally across feeds.
