Restore Paste is the syringe version of Restore, matched to sweat composition and buffered for gastrointestinal comfort. It is for the horse that will not eat a dosed feed, or for the moment straight after a hard run when you want the electrolytes in without waiting for a bucket. Give it with water available — electrolytes draw fluid to the gut, and a horse without water will be worse off, not better.
