The plain-cased retractable in the KONG range: 5m of tape, a soft grip handle and a one-touch brake, with the size chosen by your dog's weight rather than the length. Retractables suit open ground and sniffing walks; they are a poor choice near traffic or other dogs, where a fixed 1.5m lead gives you far more control.

Care and safety
Rinse in warm water and air dry; do not machine wash the retractable mechanisms. Check webbing, stitching and the clip before each walk and retire anything frayed. No lead or collar is a substitute for supervision.
