Straight Australian lucerne, coarsely chopped to keep the fibre length and compressed into cubes. This is the highest protein and calcium option in the Multicube range.
That makes it right for growing horses, horses in hard work and lactating mares — and wrong for a fat pony on good pasture, where it is simply more protein and energy than the animal needs. Lucerne also shifts the calcium to phosphorus ratio, which is worth knowing if you are already feeding a calcium supplement.
