The yellow pack of NexGard Spectra is the small-dog chew, dosed for dogs from 3.6 - 7.5 kg bodyweight - the band most Cavoodles, Jack Russells and Mini Dachshunds fall into. It is a single beef-flavoured chew given monthly, covering fleas, ticks, mites, lice, heartworm and intestinal worms in one go, which suits owners who would rather not juggle a spot-on and a separate worming tablet. About flea tapeworm

Effective flea control with NexGard Spectra prevents new infestations. To treat an existing infestation, a product registered to treat flea tapeworm should be administered (e.g., ParaGard Allwormer for Dogs).

Active ingredients

Each chew contains 18.8 mg afoxolaner and 3.8 mg milbemycin oxime.

Safety and precautions

• Safe for puppies from 8 weeks of age and 1.35 kg bodyweight.
• Safe to use in breeding, pregnant and lactating females.
• Not affected by bathing, swimming or shampooing.
• To minimise the risk of tick paralysis, daily searching and removal of ticks is still required.
