Pet-Rite nurser bottles for hand-rearing puppies, kittens and other small orphaned animals, sold two to a pack in 60ml and 120ml. Two bottles is the sensible minimum: with feeds every two to three hours around the clock there is rarely time to wash and sterilise between them.
Choose 60ml for newborns and very small breeds — a smaller bottle is easier to control and easier to judge intake from. Move to 120ml as the litter grows. Always feed with the animal on its stomach, never on its back.
Features
- Two sizes — 60ml for newborns and small breeds, 120ml as they grow.
- Two per pack — so one is always clean during round-the-clock feeding.
- Reusable — washes and sterilises between feeds.
Care
Sterilise before first use and wash thoroughly after every feed. Cut or pierce the teat to give a slow drip, not a stream — milk entering too fast is the main cause of aspiration in hand-reared animals. Discard the teat once it perishes or the hole enlarges.
