Fibre Right is built on a Timothy hay base rather than a cereal base, then extrusion-cooked and fortified with vitamins and minerals. Every piece is the same, so a rabbit cannot pick out the bits it likes and leave the rest — the usual failure mode with muesli-style mixes. The hard extruded shape also gives the teeth something to work against.
This 1kg pack is the adult rabbit formula. Peters also makes a guinea pig version, which we do not currently stock. Fibre Right replaces the concentrate portion of the diet only — grass hay still has to be available at all times. See the small animal food range.
Benefits
- Timothy hay first — a grass hay base rather than cereal, so lower in protein and calcium than lucerne-based feeds.
- No selective feeding — uniform pieces mean the full formula gets eaten.
- Extrusion cooked — Peters states this is for digestibility and nutrient absorption.
- Cranberry and rosehips — included in the formula alongside the vitamin and mineral premix.
