This is the replacement pump for the Pioneer Pet Vortex drinking fountain (model 3039). A pump that has slowed, gone noisy or stopped is the most common failure on any fountain, and swapping it is far cheaper than replacing the unit.
Check the model number before ordering. Pioneer Pet uses several pump types across its range and they are not interchangeable — this one fits the Vortex 3039, not the plastic RainDrop or the ceramic Big Max. Filters for the same fountain and pumps for other models are in Pioneer Pet.
Features
- Vortex 3039 fit — the correct pump for that fountain, not a universal part.
- Restores flow — the usual fix for a fountain that has gone quiet or weak.
- Cheaper than replacing — extends the life of an existing fountain.
- Simple swap — lifts out and drops in without tools.
Before you replace it
A slow pump is often a dirty pump. Take the impeller out and clean it with the fountain cleaning kit first — if flow returns, the pump is fine. Descale the fountain regularly in hard-water areas, as scale is what kills pumps early.
