Thin wooden discs, dyed with edible colouring, for animals that need something harder than hay to grind against. Rodent and rabbit incisors grow continuously, and a bark nibbler gives them a surface with some resistance. They are a chew toy rather than food — most animals shred them slowly over days rather than eating them.
Each disc is roughly 10 cm long, 3 cm wide and 0.9 cm thick; the pack is 75 g. Suits mice, rats, rabbits and guinea pigs. See more small animal toys and hideouts.
Benefits
- Dental wear — a firm surface that keeps incisors worn back.
- Edible colouring — the dye is food grade, so shredding is not a problem.
- Small enough for mice — the disc format works across the size range, not just rabbits.
Care
Remove and replace once splintered down to short fragments.
