ProfeLAC Nurture Wildlife is ProviCo's hand-rearing milk replacer for wildlife, supplied in carer-sized packs rather than farm bags — 375g and 900g. That sizing is the point: a carer with one or two animals should not be opening a 20kg sack that will be stale long before it is finished.
Species matters more than the packet. Hand-rearing is species-specific and stage-specific work. Concentration, feed volume, feeding frequency, teat choice and weaning timing all change with the animal in front of you, and getting them wrong is a common cause of aspiration, bloat and failure to thrive. Work from a protocol for your species, supplied by an experienced carer or a wildlife vet.
In most Australian states, keeping and rearing native wildlife requires a licence or authorisation through a registered carer group. If you have found an injured or orphaned animal, contact your state wildlife rescue service before you start feeding it.
Mixing rate and storage instructions are on the pack. For formulas matched to individual native species, see Wombaroo.
