Snugglesafe is a cordless heat pad — a sealed disc of thermal gel that you heat in a microwave and then slide under a bed or blanket. There is no cord, which means nothing for a puppy or rabbit to chew and no electrical fault risk in a hutch or an outdoor run.
It suits puppies and kittens separated from a litter, elderly or arthritic animals, small pets outdoors in winter, and post-surgery recovery. It cannot be regulated. It starts hot and cools steadily over the following hours, so it must always go under a cover and the animal must be able to move off it. Related: Dog Housing & Bedding and Cat Bedding & Housing.
Features
- No cord or power point — usable in a hutch, a crate or the car.
- Holds warmth up to 10 hours — one heating covers a night.
- Sealed disc — wipes clean, nothing to leak in normal use.
- Works for many species — dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and poultry.
How to use
Heating times vary by microwave wattage — follow the chart supplied with the pad rather than guessing, because overheating damages the gel. Always cover the pad with a blanket or towel, and make sure the animal has room to move away from it. Replace the pad if the outer shell splits.
