Full fat soybean meal is a bulk protein and energy ingredient for home-mixed rations — used in horse feeds, poultry rations and stock mixes where a concentrated plant protein is wanted. "Full fat" means the oil has not been extracted, so it brings energy as well as protein, which is what separates it from de-fatted soybean meal.
It is an ingredient, not a feed. Fed on its own it is unbalanced, and the inclusion rate depends on what else is in the ration and what species is eating it. Work from a formulation or a nutritionist's advice.
Like any oil-bearing meal it can go rancid if it is stored badly. Keep it dry, out of direct sun, and use it within a sensible time rather than leaving a part-used sack open through a hot summer.
Supplied as a 25kg sack.
