Stockhealth's apple cider vinegar is a traditional double strength (8%) unpasteurised preparation with added Vitamin B1, made for all classes of livestock. Double strength is the thing to notice on price: at 8% acidity it is roughly twice the concentration of the 4% cider vinegars usually sold for horses, so compare cost per litre of actual acetic acid rather than cost per litre of bottle. Unpasteurised means it retains the sediment (the 'mother') and should be shaken before use.
Available in 2L, 5L and 20L. A garlic version is available as Stockhealth Apple Cider Vinegar with Garlic. Part of the Stockhealth range.
Key points
- Double strength 8% — Roughly twice the concentration of a standard 4% cider vinegar.
- Unpasteurised — Retains the sediment; shake before use.
- With Vitamin B1 — Added thiamine.
- All livestock — Horses, cattle, sheep, goats and poultry.
- Three sizes — 2L and 5L for a small number of animals, 20L for a working property.
Feeding
Feed at the rate on the label, diluted in feed or drinking water. Because this is a double strength preparation, do not substitute it litre-for-litre for a 4% product. Stockhealth ask that you contact them on 1800 255 288 to discuss dosage for your situation. Shake well before use.
