The same traditional double strength (8%) unpasteurised apple cider vinegar with Vitamin B1, with garlic added. Garlic is the version most commonly bought over summer for horses. Worth knowing before you switch: garlic is strongly flavoured and some horses will back off feed for a few days, so introduce it gradually rather than at full rate, and if you have a horse with a history of anaemia talk to your vet before feeding garlic regularly.
Available in 2L, 5L and 20L. Without garlic, see Stockhealth Apple Cider Vinegar. Part of the Stockhealth range.
Key points
- Double strength 8% — Roughly twice the concentration of a standard 4% cider vinegar.
- With garlic and Vitamin B1 — Unpasteurised base with garlic added.
- All livestock — Horses, cattle, sheep, goats and poultry.
- Introduce gradually — Strongly flavoured; some horses need a few days to accept it.
- Three sizes — 2L, 5L and 20L.
Feeding
Feed at the rate on the label, diluted in feed or drinking water, and build up to the full rate over several days. Because this is a double strength preparation, do not substitute it litre-for-litre for a 4% product. Stockhealth ask that you contact them on 1800 255 288 to discuss dosage for your situation. Shake well before use.
