Electrolyte 2 Paste is a 60mL oral syringe for replacing what a horse sweats out during work or travel. It carries the four main electrolytes, a full B-group and vitamin E in a paste you can give straight from the tube — which is the point of a paste over a powder, since a hot or stressed horse often will not drink a treated bucket.
Use it after work rather than instead of water. Electrolytes given to a dehydrated horse with no water available pull fluid into the gut and make things worse, so always have clean water in front of the horse when you dose.
Composition per 60mL
- Potassium 5000mg, Sodium 4000mg, Magnesium 1500mg, Calcium 1200mg
- Thiamine 100mg, Riboflavin 100mg, Niacin 200mg, Pyridoxine 10mg, Folate 20mg, Cyanocobalamin 40mcg
- Vitamin E 1000 i.u.
Dose
30mL per 500kg bodyweight after moderate exercise. After heavy exercise, repeat 20–40 minutes later.
