Cavy Origins Junior is Vetafarm's growth formula for guinea pigs from weaning to around six months of age. It runs a higher protein level than the adult diet and adds DHA, EPA and a nine-strain probiotic blend — what a fast-growing cavy needs, and what an adult one does not. Feeding it past six months is an easy way to put weight on a guinea pig that no longer needs the extra energy, so move across to Cavy Origins adult once your cavy has matured.
Sold as a 1.5kg bag. The pellets are extrusion cooked, and stabilised vitamin C is added because guinea pigs cannot make their own.
