A soft nylon mesh hammock on suction cups, adding a raised resting and climbing surface partway up the enclosure. Most terrariums are taller than they are used, and vertical space is largely wasted unless something is put in it — this is a cheap way to give a bearded dragon, water dragon, anole or ball python somewhere else to be.

Two limitations
- Glass or acrylic only. Suction cups will not attach to a mesh or screen lid, or to a textured surface.
- Not a basking platform. Mesh in the direct beam of a basking lamp does not behave like a solid surface — put the hammock somewhere other than directly under the hot spot.
Care
Remove faeces and urates immediately — mesh holds waste in the weave. Disinfect regularly.
