Purina PRO PLAN is the brand's performance range, and what separates it from a supermarket line is that the formulas are split by a real variable rather than by flavour — breed size for dogs, and a specific problem for cats.
On the dog side that means adult and puppy chicken formulas in Small & Toy, Medium and Large Breed, so kibble size and nutrient density match the dog rather than the bag. Around those sit Sensitive Skin & Stomach (salmon-led), Sensitive Digestion (lamb), Performance for working and sporting dogs, and Bright Mind 7+ for seniors.
On the cat side the headline is LIVECLEAR, which contains an egg-sourced protein that binds Fel d 1, the allergen cats spread onto their coat while grooming. Purina's claim is that it reduces the allergen on hair and dander from the third week, and only while it is the cat's only food. Beyond that, Complete Essentials covers everyday wet feeding in 85g x 24 packs, and Urinary Care and Kitten each exist in both dry and wet, so a cat that will only eat one texture is still covered. Indoor Hairball Control is dry only.
