A replacement glass door for the Exo Terra Natural Terrarium PT2609 — the 90 x 45 x 90cm size Exo Terra calls the Large X-Tall, and the biggest door in the range. It is the same part as the PT26xx replacement doors elsewhere in this range; this one is named after the enclosure's size rather than its model number, which is how the Australian supplier catalogues it. Exo Terra's own part numbers are PT2526 (left) and PT2527 (right). It is one door, not a pair.
Left or right? Stand square in front of the terrarium and look at it head-on. The door hinged on your left-hand side is the Left door; the one hinged on your right is the Right door. This is the most common reason a replacement door has to go back, so check before you order — the two are mirror images and neither can be turned over to suit the other side.
Terrarium or Paludarium? Exo Terra also used the PT2609 code for a Paludarium on the same footprint, and its door is shorter to clear the water section. If your enclosure has a built-in water compartment, you want the Paludarium PT2609 door instead.
The other doors on the 90 x 45cm footprint are PT2611, 90 x 45 x 30cm, PT2613, 90 x 45 x 45cm and the Large Tall door for PT2614, 90 x 45 x 60cm. The enclosures themselves are on the Exo Terra Natural Terrariums page.
Features
- Direct fit — the frame matches the original hinge pins, so no drilling or modification is needed.
- Glass supplied fitted — the pane comes mounted in its frame, ready to hang.
- Named by size, not by code — Large Extra Tall is the 90 x 45 x 90cm enclosure, Exo Terra model PT2609.
- Handle with care — at 90cm tall and over 3kg packed, this is the heaviest door in the range; unpack it edge-on and preferably with a second pair of hands.
