Swamp Glo is the basking lamp built for wet setups. Its outer sleeve is extra-strong neodymium glass, splash and mist resistant, so a splash from a turtle or a burst from a misting system will not shatter it the way it can shatter an ordinary basking bulb. That makes it the sensible choice over an aquatic turtle dock, in a paludarium, or in any high-humidity forest terrarium that gets misted several times a day. Resistant is not waterproof — it is not for submersion — and like the rest of the basking range it produces no UVB, which matters most for turtles.
Three wattages — 50W, 75W and 100W. Turtles and water dragons need UVB alongside it, so pair it with the Reptile UVB100 T8 Tube, and use Heat Glo or a Ceramic Heat Emitter if the air needs help overnight. The rest of the range is in our Exo Terra collection.

Over a turtle dock the basking surface temperature is what matters, not the wattage — a 50W hung close can run hotter than a 100W set high. Start at the lower wattage in a warm room or a small enclosure, and check with a thermometer on the dock itself before the animal uses it.
Safety
Run it through a thermostat or dimmer; unregulated, a basking lamp holds full output no matter how warm the room already is. Mount the fixture so it cannot fall into the water, keep the lamp outside the mesh or behind a guard, and let it cool before it gets a full soaking.
