BreedRite Mix is the breeding feed in the FeedRite horse range, made for broodmares through late pregnancy and lactation and for growing youngstock. Those are the two windows where demand climbs faster than pasture can follow, which is the whole reason a breeding mix exists. A mare that is not in foal and not in work does not need it — MainTain Mix or Leisure Mix is the cheaper and more sensible bag.
Supplied as a 20kg bag. FeedRite is Australian-owned and the range is manufactured in Australia.
Feeding
Feed with roughage — this is a mix to be fed alongside pasture, hay or chaff, not instead of it. Introduce it over 7 to 10 days when changing from another feed. The feeding rate table and the full guaranteed analysis are printed on the bag; work from those and from your horse's condition score rather than from a fixed scoop.
