BCS is aimed at racing and elite performance horses, and is formulated to support the integrity and elasticity of collagen-rich tissue — lungs, tendons and ligaments. Kohnke's Own positions it around exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage (EIPH) and around tendon and ligament loading in horses working at speed. It is a nutritional supplement, so it supports tissue rather than treating an existing injury, and a horse that is already bleeding or lame needs veterinary assessment first.
Stocked here in the 1kg pack. Kohnke's Own states BCS contains no banned substances and is formulated for Racing and FEI compliance, but pre-race supplement rules vary between jurisdictions — check your own before a meeting. Horses in hard work are often fed BCS alongside Cell-Vital Premium.
