Formex supports the integrity of the intestinal lining in horses prone to scouring, loose manure or hindgut irritation — typically horses on lush pasture or heavy hard feed. Kohnke's Own builds it around organic chelated zinc, vitamin A and glutamine for gut cell repair. Persistent diarrhoea in a horse is a veterinary matter, not a supplement problem: use Formex for the horse whose manure is chronically loose, not for one that is acutely sick.
Available in a 1kg pouch and a 3kg pack. Horses whose issue sits in the stomach rather than the hindgut are better matched to Gastro-Coat, and horses on mouldy pasture to Tox-Target.
Benefits
- Gut lining support — glutamine for intestinal cell repair
- Chelated zinc — organic form for absorption
- Vitamin A — included for mucosal health
- For loose manure — aimed at horses on rich pasture or heavy hard feed
Feeding Guide
Daily dose rates vary with bodyweight, workload and the rest of the ration. Follow the rate printed on the pack, and introduce any new supplement gradually over several days.
Kohnke's Own does not publish a full guaranteed analysis for Formex online. The composition panel is printed on the pack.
