Mag-E is the calming supplement in the Kohnke's Own range, built on protein-coated organic chelated magnesium with vitamin E, B1, natural yeasts and supporting nutrients. It is intended to take the edge off tension and spooky behaviour in horses in training or competition without dulling the horse — Kohnke's Own describes it as non-sedative and swab-safe. It works on the nutritional side of behaviour, so a horse that is sore, under-worked or badly fitted will not be fixed by a scoop of magnesium.

Daily dose rates vary with bodyweight, workload and the rest of the ration. Follow the rate printed on the pack, and introduce any new supplement gradually over several days.
