A self-fed bloat block for cattle on clover and lucerne dominant pasture. Frothy bloat can kill a cow inside an hour, and the risk climbs sharply when stock move onto a legume-heavy paddock hungry.
Self-fed products carry an obvious limitation on a high-risk day: an animal that has not been to the block that morning is not protected. On dangerous pasture, blocks are used alongside management — filling stock on hay before they go in, delaying entry until the dew is off, and monitoring the mob.
Feeding & Use
Introduce several days before stock go onto high-risk pasture. Place where cattle camp or water and provide enough blocks for the mob. Always provide clean, fresh water.
Handling
