The pre-calving block in the Herd Health range, fed through the weeks leading into calving. This is the point in the year when a cow's mineral demand climbs sharply and when getting it wrong shows up as retained membranes, slow starts and poor conception next joining.
It is a transition product with a window. Put it out well before the first calves are due rather than as they start dropping, and move to a lactation or year-round block once the herd has calved.
Feeding & Use
Introduce in the weeks before calving. Place where cattle camp or water, under cover where possible, and provide enough blocks for the mob. Always provide clean, fresh water.
