The Pet Teezer De-Shedding brush applies the two-tier bristle design used in human detangling brushes to a dog's coat. Long bristles reach through to the undercoat while short ones work the topcoat, so a single pass does the job of two separate tools.
Available in a small head (Blue/Light Blue) for compact breeds and a large head (Purple/Grey) for bigger dogs. The bristles are flexible rather than rigid, which makes this a comfortable brush but a slow one on a badly matted coat — work knots out first rather than trying to brush through them. For a silicone alternative with no pins at all, see Pet + Me. More in Health Care.
Features
- Two-tier bristles — undercoat and topcoat in one pass.
- Flexible bristles — comfortable for dogs that dislike a slicker.
- Two head sizes — small for compact breeds, large for bigger dogs.
- Moulded handle — designed to be held for a long grooming session.
Care
Pull hair from the bristles after each session and rinse the head as needed. Not a de-matting tool — remove mats before brushing.
