Peters Lucerne Pellets (PICKUP ONLY)

A single uniform pellet made from cereals and legumes with fresh lucerne flavour, suitable for all breeds of young, breeding and adult rabbits and guinea pigs. The advantage over a muesli mix is that there is nothing to sort: every mouthful carries the same nutrition. The trade-off is boredom — a pellet gives no foraging interest, so pair it with unlimited grass hay and scatter-feed a few small animal treats for enrichment.

Lucerne is a legume hay, higher in protein and calcium than grass hay. That suits growing and breeding animals; for a sedentary adult rabbit, keep the pellet portion measured and let grass hay do the bulk of the work.

Ingredients

Wheaten bran and pollard, lupins, barley, lucerne (5%), clover, lignin, canola, lentils, oats, peas, beans, soya, sunflower, grape and products derived from those ingredients, bentonite, limestone, dicalcium phosphate, salt, vitamins and minerals.

Feeding Guide

Peters does not publish a daily feeding rate. Offer a measured pellet portion with unlimited grass hay and fresh water; introduce gradually over about a week.
