Peters Original Mix Rabbit & Guinea Pig Food (PICKUP ONLY)

Peters Original Mix is the brand's long-standing muesli-style feed for adult rabbits and guinea pigs. The mix pairs a fortified base pellet with lucerne hay, rolled oats, rolled barley and black sunflower seed, so your pet has to sort and chew rather than swallow a uniform kibble. That is the point of a mix like this — but it is also its limitation: selective eaters will pick out the sunflower seed and leave the pellet, which is where the vitamins and minerals are. If your rabbit sorts, a uniform pellet such as Peters Fibre Right is the safer choice.

Available in 3.5kg and 8kg. Feed alongside unlimited grass hay — see the full Peters range.

Benefits

• Encourages foraging — varied shapes and textures slow eating down.
• Dental wear — hard grains and pellets give continuously growing teeth something to work on.
• Fortified base pellet — carries the added vitamins and minerals.
