Dried mealworms in a small 40g pack — a treat or high-protein supplement for chickens, ducks and geese, and for insect-eating lizards such as bearded dragons, blue-tongues and stumpy tails. The 40g size is the sensible one for a single reptile or a couple of hens; dried insects lose their appeal once the pack has been open for months.
Mealworms are high in fat and low in calcium, so for a lizard they need dusting with a calcium supplement and should not become the whole diet. For a larger pack see Peters Dried Mealworms 100g, or Peters Bug Blend for a multi-insect mix.
Benefits
- High protein and fat — naturally rich, and useful during a moult.
- Small pack — stays fresh for a single reptile or a small flock.
- Multi-species — poultry, wild birds and insect-eating lizards.
