EquiBind is a dual-action toxin binder for horses where mycotoxins may be present in stored feed or in pasture. Its point of difference is selectivity: it is formulated to bind both polar and non-polar mycotoxins without also binding the essential vitamins and minerals the horse needs, which is the usual trade-off with broad binders. It is a binder and nothing else — it will not fill nutrient gaps, so a forage-only horse still needs Daily Balance alongside it.
Sold in a 1kg sachet. At 0.9% non-structural carbohydrate it is extremely low in sugar and starch, and Poseidon lists it as safe for laminitic horses and for horses prone to tying up in both PSSM and RER forms. More Horse Supplies.
Benefits
- Dual-action binding — targets polar and non-polar mycotoxins rather than one class.
- Does not strip nutrients — formulated to leave essential vitamins and minerals available to the horse.
- 0.9% NSC — suits laminitic horses and those on restricted sugar and starch.
- No fillers, molasses or grain — non-medicated, and safe for horses in work, spelling, breeding or growing.
Ingredients
Magnesium oxide, Elitox dual-action toxin binder, limestone (calcium source), lucerne leaf meal, vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin B12, vitamin C.
