Coffee wood, which is a step up in hardness from the woven chews in the rest of the range. An animal that shreds a fibre carrot in ten minutes will take days over one of these, and that is the reason to keep both kinds in the enclosure rather than choosing between them.
Two formats. The 20 pack of 2-2.5cm blocks suits rats, mice and guinea pigs and scatters well for foraging; the 10 pack of longer 5-8cm pieces is easier for a rabbit to hold and work at. Wood is harder on teeth than fibre, so introduce it alongside the softer chews rather than as a straight replacement.
Why a chew earns its place
Rabbit and rodent teeth grow continuously, and an animal with nothing to work on finds something — usually skirting boards, cage bars or cable. Giving it a chew it is allowed to destroy is the practical fix, and it deals with the boredom at the same time.
