The West Paw No-Slip Dog Bowl is a moulded Seaflex feeding bowl that holds 4 cups of kibble or 35oz of water, stocked in Kelp Green, Marine Blue, Sea Fog Grey and Tropic Red. Its useful trick is the base, which grips tiles and floorboards rather than skating off across the room, and because the whole bowl is rubber rather than steel it does not clatter — worth more than it sounds to a nervous dog that has learnt to flinch at the noise its own dinner makes. The interior measures 15cm across and the bowl stands 9.5cm high, so this is a proper dinner bowl and not a snack dish. Who should skip it: anyone whose dog chews its bowl. This is a feeding bowl, not a chew toy, and a determined dog will do damage to it that it could never do to stainless steel. Flat-faced and long-eared breeds usually eat more comfortably from a shallower, wider dish.
