Choosing a horse shampoo

Match colour shampoos to the coat. The Showsilk Glo range is made for a specific coat colour, so a white shampoo on a bay will not give the result you want.

Concentrates are diluted before use, so a bottle lasts longer than its size suggests. Follow the dilution on the label.

Wash only as often as you need to. Frequent full washes can dry the coat and skin, so between shows many owners spot clean and use a finishing product on a dry coat instead.

Rinse thoroughly, since leftover product can irritate the skin and attract dust.
