Royal Canin Poodle food is the most flexible breed line at PeekAPaw when it comes to bag size: four products spanning 500g up to 7.5kg, plus wet loaf pouches. If you have a toy or miniature Poodle and have been put off breed food because the bags were too big to finish, this is the range that solves it.
Which one does your dog need? Poodle Puppy is for dogs up to 10 months and comes in 500g and 3kg — the 500g bag is genuinely useful for a small puppy or as a trial before you commit. Poodle Adult is for dogs over 10 months, in 1.5kg and 7.5kg. Poodle 8+ is for mature Poodles from eight years and comes in 1.5kg; it adds a precise phosphorus content, an antioxidant blend, and taurine with EPA and DHA to help support heart function, and the kibble can be softened with warm water if your dog is chewing less comfortably.
Why breed-specific for this dog? The Poodle's coat is the reason this formula exists. Curly, woolly hair grows continuously rather than shedding out, so it draws on nutrition constantly. Omega-3 EPA and DHA together with borage oil and an adapted protein content help support that continuous hair growth and the softness and shine of the coat. The kibble also carries calcium chelators to help reduce tartar formation, which matters for a small-jawed breed prone to dental build-up, and the shape and size are adapted to the Poodle's jaw.
Wet food. Poodle Adult in Loaf comes in 85g pouches, in packs of 12 or 48, and is intended for mixed feeding with the dry food. Same breed formula, different texture — a straightforward option for a Poodle that has gone off its bowl.
